  • ☁️ Cloud wedding in pandemic. Milly & Max contacted us one month ago when we were in vacation (won’t suggest you to do so🙃) for an urgent request: their wedding in China couldn’t be able to hold as they wish, because an break out of Delta in the province of the bride makes the two families’ union for wedding impossible. Moreover, there is a mandatory isolation of 21 days. At that moment they had to cancel their flights to China and searched for an alternative - a wedding live streaming. So they ended contacting us in August for a wedding of September, and a wedding to be live-streamed with 2 different venues in China where there are hundreds of guests watching. We took this challenge because we really understand how they feel and want to help them to get married as scheduled. Who are you?

Welcome and nice to meet you! My name is Michele and I’m a destination wedding photographer and cinematographer living in Italy. Click here to learn more about me and my collaborators.

Where do you live and work?

I live in the fair city of Verona with my wife, who happens to be a wedding planner. Most of my work takes place here but I love to work through Italy and abroad.

How would you describe your style?

My style can be described as bright and elegant and consists of a mix of reportage and creative portraits. During the ceremony and the reception I document the most important moments with discretion, trying to make everything as natural and spontaneous as possible. Special attention will be given to details, guests and portraits of the spouses. During the portrait session I give directions and advices in order to approach the camera with ease. I like to create a personal feeling with the couple, to make them comfortable and free to let their emotion flow. If possibile, I prefer to shoot outdoors, to take advantage of the location and the natural light.

Will you give us any suggestions to get a good result?

Of course! With all my spouses I share a Wedding Day Guide, in which I provide several advices to better manage the photographic part of the day and keep the level of anxiety low.

What gears do you use?

I use Canon mirorless and cinema cameras with the best zoom and prime lenses (16-35mm 2.8, 28-70mm 2.0, 50mm 1.2, 70-200mm 2.8, 85mm 1.2). For the drone shots I rely on DJI with the Mini 2 ot the Air 2S depending on the situation. For the live streaming I use Blackmagic Design gears.

Do you work alone or in pairs?

I prefere to work in pairs because it allows me to be present in every situation and also to grasp all the little aspects that make a truly emotional and complete reportage. In order to satisfy all different needs, the standard package does not include however the second shooter.

How long will you stay?

I am available though all the day, from the preparation to the party. The timetable included in the various packages can always be extended by paying the additional hours.

What about the meals?

In case of marriages exceeding 6 hours, I will clearly need to refresh and take a short brake, while spouses and guests are seated at the reception. I don’t claim a reserved seat at the table with the same menu of the guests, a reduced menu for the insiders and a convenient location to rest a moment is enough. Otherwise, I shall go away from the event for the time necessary to have a meal.

How many photos do you take?

The numbers of photos vary depending on the package and on the wedding. Normally 2.000-5.000 photos are taken, of which 500-1.000 will be delivered to the client.

Do you take group photos?

Of course, and I love them! I capture classic and unconventional ones.

How long does it take for delivery?

PHOTOS
Within 2 weeks from the event, I will provide a selection of 10-20 photos (sneak peek) through an online and private galley. This gallery can also be shared with parents and friends. Within 3-5 moths, I will deliver the final work, with all photos accurately post-produced one-by-one.

FILMS
The film is delivered in 5 months.

What about retouching?

All photos I deliver are post-processed with the utmost care, in term of exposure, contrast and colors. Any extra aesthetic correction (i.e. Photoshop) are carried upon request with an additional fee.

When should we contact you?

If you plan to get married in one of the most popular month of the season (June, July and September), I reccomend you to contact me al least 1 year in advance. Otherwise, 6 months before the wedding should be enough. Obviously, I always give priority to the request that is confirmed first.

What are the payment terms?

In order to facilitate my clients as much as possible, I have decided to divide the payment into 3 trances:

PHOTOS AND FILM
- 40% upon signin the contract, as non-refundable deposit,
- 40% within 1 month from the wedding date,
- 20% after receiving the sneak peek and before the delivery of the final work.

LIVE STREAMING
- 60% upon signin the contract, as non-refundable deposit,
- 40% by the wedding date.
